ABOUT THE HORSE

An own son of legendary $2 million sire, Hashtags wrapped up in a vibrant bay color at 14.3 hh. This gelding is out of an own daughter of Captain Nice-earner of $32,000. “Maverick” is by far one of the best minded geldings we have offered. He is kind, forgiving, and SAFE. We full heartedly believe that any one can get along with (and enjoy) Maverick. From his incredible mind to his riding ability, he is EASY. If you can sit on a horse, you can pilot this guy. He will ride off of a neck rein, leg pressure, and/or your seat. Whether you are an all hands kind of rider or leg/seat cues with minimum hand use, Maverick will be responsive in a controlled manner. 

Maverick has a presence to him in the way he carries himself. His trot is elegant with his smooth gait, low head, and reach. The cadence to his lope is incomparable- the definition of SMOOTH. When trotting and loping circles, one can set their hand on his neck as he cruises around low headed, in the bridle, with cruise control speed. When you cue him to spin, Maverick will drop his head and only go as fast as you ask. Fast or slow- his spin has style! Maverick’s lead changes are so simple that one barely has to pick up their hand to change. When cruising down the pen to stop, Maverick will drop his head and power down waiting for your cue to let him slide. 

Maverick is trained in the cowhorse maneuvers, has been started on the roping dummy, and has sorted an abundance of cattle in the alleyway. When he is not working in the arena, Maverick enjoys a leisurely trail ride. He enjoys cooling off in the water and will ride alone with zero hesitation. We have had children aged 8-14, beginner riders, intermediate, and experienced on Maverick and every one truly enjoyed him. 

The intelligence and athleticism this gelding holds are incomparable. This guy can truly be used for ANY thing. He is a prime ranch riding candidate, rope horse, 4-H, kids, trails, mounted shooting, team penning, or even just your next bestie! We fully encourage you to come try Maverick out in person to truly understand how incredible he is. This incredible gelding is 100% sound, has all black feet, and has a current PPE. One is not only getting a new horse when they work with us, but a partnership. We will absolutely help you in any way we can even after you take Maverick home.
