ABOUT THE HORSE

Boy, does this guy have a presence! He is just as captivating to watch as he is amazing to ride. “Dollar” is a stunning 15.1 hh palomino gelding weighing in around 1300 pounds. This guy has all the shape from his big shoulder and big hip to strong legs. One could definitely win some showmanship classes with him! 

This big, beautiful boy is a son of Wimpys LittleColonel, the 2013 NRBC Reserve Champion. Wimpys LittleColonel is of course a son of the great Wimpys Little Step. Wimpy is a $14 million sire with offspring that excel across all disciplines. Without a doubt, our favorite stallion is Wimpys Little Step. The mind these horses have is second to none and Dollar is of no exception. This gelding truly tries so hard to please his rider. He genuinely wants to do things right and be a good boy.  

Dollar rides soooo beautiful in the arena. He is EASY. His trot is gorgeous and his lope is flawless. His lead departures are easy and boy is that lope amazing! Dollar is always ready to slow down and will back up off your seat. This golden boy neck reins great on a loose rein and has a really nice turnaround. Whether you want to poke around nice and slow or ask him to try a little he will be ready.  

This stunning gelding is just as great to ride outside of the arena as he is in it. Dollar stays broke and quiet no matter the circumstance. Traffic going by on a busy highway is of no concern and neither is riding alone. Dollar is phenomenal to trail ride in a group or alone. He likes to take his time, but will still walk out when asked. Dollar loves the water! If you want to take him for a swim he will be glad to! He crosses creeks, opens and closes gates, and stays focused.  

Dollar is absolutely not your typical four-year-old. He is far beyond his years!! This unique individual is no stranger to the ranch chores either. He has had full days of work with us! From catching wild colts and pulling them around to working the cattle pens. Dollar will absolutely watch a cow and be right there in your hand when you need him. This horse is easy peasy no matter the circumstance.
