ABOUT THE HORSE

Benny is a FUN, kind-hearted, extremely trained 15 hh chocolate palomino gelding. This guy is fantastic in every aspect. Being a trained reiner he has all the maneuvers and ability that crosses over into other disciplines. Benny has been shown in the ranch riding and will continue to be this summer. It is a regular week for Benny to be used for the ranch chores one day and then get ready for a horse show the next. This gelding’s diversity is second to none. In the arena, Benny has huge stops, fast spins, flawless lead changes, and fantastic transitions. He has a big, extended trot and rates off of your seat.  

Benny is extremely well rounded in life. He will really watch a cow and gets gritty. He has sorted and gathered hundreds of cattle as well as roped some in the pens. He is one that you can run down a fast one out in the pasture and will still be broke- no matter how fast or chaotic his surroundings may be. Benny has also been the judge’s mount to flag team ropings.  

This gelding’s pedigree speaks volumes being an own son of $1.5 million sire HF Mobster and out of a money-earning mare herself whose foals have earned more than $54,000. Benny’s maternal grandsire is none other than Hall of Fame, $13 million sire: Smart Chic Olena. Benny has incredible, noteworthy names all throughout his lineage.  

We have trail ridden Benny all over our place as well as hauled him to local recreation areas. He will walk confidently and mindfully with or without other horses. Benny will cross water, logs, and stand quietly while opening gates. One of the most fun things about Benny is his liberty training. He genuinely enjoys being with his people. He would be super easy to show in horsemanship classes! Benny is an incredible gelding that is 100% sound, sane, and has radiographs.
